

From June 24 to 26, Tarique Rahman, Prime Minister of Bangladesh, paid an official visit to China upon invitation. On June 25, the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) and the Embassy of Bangladesh in China co-hosted the high-level seminar "Invest in Bangladesh" in Beijing. Centering on China-Bangladesh economic and trade cooperation, the event introduced investment opportunities in Bangladesh to Chinese enterprises and built a high-end platform for bilateral industrial docking.

Han Chun, Chairman, Heng Zeli, President, and Han Dong, Assistant to the President of Handa Industries, alongside Shen Na, General Manager, and Fu Minggang, Deputy General Manager of its Bangladesh Garment Division, attended the conference by invitation. During the conference, Tariq Rahman, Prime Minister of Bangladesh, granted a separate audience to the Handa Industries delegation. The two sides held in-depth negotiations on core themes including cross-border textile industrial coordination, production capacity upgrading and investment rollout.
During the meeting, Chairman Han Chun gave a detailed introduction to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh regarding Handa Industries’ global development layout, full industrial chain system, core product competitive edges, as well as the company’s industrial layout and production and operation status in Bangladesh. The enterprise plans to build its factory in Mirsarai into a benchmark smart Lighthouse Factory, striving to create a digital intelligent manufacturing model with exemplary and leading value across the apparel sector and Bangladesh.

Prime Minister Tariq Rahman fully recognized Handa Industries’ global development accomplishments and its down-to-earth industrial investment layout. He remarked that textiles constitute Bangladesh’s pillar industry. The country keeps refining the business environment for foreign investors and rolling out industrial incentive policies. Bangladesh welcomes Handa Industries to scale up its investment in the country, bring in cutting-edge technologies, green R&D expertise and modern management practices, and drive the upgrading of local industrial chains as well as job creation. The Bangladeshi government will offer all-round policy support to ensure smooth project delivery.Both sides reached consensus on cooperation priorities including industrial chain coordination, green fabric R&D and the development of overseas smart manufacturing bases. Furthermore, Handa Industries has obtained a land allocation letter from the Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority, granting undeveloped land within Keraniganj Economic Zone for the company’s Phase III project in Bangladesh.
Home to a population of nearly 200 million with an average workforce age of only 26, Bangladesh boasts remarkable demographic dividends and maintains an annual economic growth rate of around 7%, making it a highly promising investment destination in South Asia. Leveraging its abundant resources and sound economic strengths, Handa Industries will designate Bangladesh as a core strategic overseas hub, continuously ramp up investment, join hands with local partners to build a modern integrated textile industrial cluster, and jointly forge a new blueprint for long-term win-win development.
