Handa Industries Launches World Environment Day Themed Activities
June 5, 2026 marks the 55th World Environment Day. Centered on environmental protection and sustainable development, Handa Industries launched the themed prize quiz campaign Waste Reborn, Fabulous Apparel. Combining immersive popular science with online quizzes, the initiative conveys the philosophy of recycling and regenerating waste materials to all employees and consolidates the company’s green development culture.
At the event, themed popular science display boards emerged as a standout highlight. The exhibition panels systematically break down the full production chain of finished garments crafted from Handa’s recycled fabrics. They illustrate the complete circular journey through which everyday waste such as discarded plastic bottles, waste fishing nets and disposable PP food containers is transformed into wearable apparel after a series of processes: collection and sorting, impurity removal and pelletization, spinning and weaving, as well as garment stitching. Visually showcasing tangible achievements of the textile circular economy, the boards allow staff to closely learn about the eco-friendly technology that turns trash into new clothes and gain a concrete understanding of the low-carbon benefits of recycled fabrics.
The rewarding environmental quiz was in full swing. Question banks cover multiple dimensions including waste sorting, plastic reduction and emission cuts, recycled fabric know-how, low-carbon manufacturing and daily eco-friendly lifestyles, balancing professionalism and practicality.Staff participated actively via mobile online answering, filling gaps in environmental knowledge through Q&A sessions and deepening their understanding of resource recycling.All participants who passed the quiz received eco-themed gifts, gaining practical presents while bringing green concepts into daily routines.
