Undergraduates of the 2024 Cohort from the School of Textile Engineering, Jiangnan University Visit Handa Industries for Research and Exchange
On July 14, more than 170 undergraduate students of the Class of 2024 from the School of Textile Engineering, Jiangnan University visited Handa Industries for an on-site research and study tour. Mr. Jiang Yanhui, Vice President of Handa Industries, together with the company’s relevant management and human resources supervisors, received the delegation. Combining on-site factory tours, thematic sharing sessions and interactive corporate presentations, this activity built a two-way university-enterprise exchange platform and linked textile professional theories with industrial practices.
At the start of the forum, on behalf of Handa Industries, Mr. Jiang extended a warm welcome to the faculty and students from Jiangnan University. He delivered a thematic presentation covering the company’s full-range industrial layout, medium and long-term development strategies, global production and operation footprint, as well as core talent recruitment and cultivation plans, and elaborated on the practical approaches and long-term vision of Handa Industries in deeply cultivating its core textile business, advancing digital intelligent manufacturing and pursuing sustainable development.
The Human Resources Center hosted an interactive corporate special recruitment presentation. Centered on the growth of young talents, it provided detailed interpretations covering the enterprise’s key talent development plans, comprehensive compensation and benefits packages, internship and employment channels, as well as the mentorship training system. The event helps students clarify their career development paths and builds a two-way talent connection bridge between universities and the enterprise.
Subsequently, the students visited the corporate culture exhibition hall and product exhibition hall in sequence. They gained a comprehensive understanding of Handa Industries’ development journey, corporate heritage, global industrial layout, as well as industry-authoritative qualifications, sustainable development certifications and a full range of honorary awards, getting an intuitive sense of the enterprise’s profound foundation forged through down-to-earth industrial operations and steady global expansion.
Upon entering the product exhibition hall, various functional fabrics and finished garment samples are neatly displayed. The hall elaborately presents the raw material composition, functional properties, technological advantages and application scenarios of all types of fabrics, allowing students to gain a firsthand understanding of the closed-loop whole textile and apparel industrial chain covering raw yarn, weaving, dyeing & finishing and finished garments. They also acquired in-depth knowledge of Handa Industries’ digital industrial layout and the achievements in developing intelligent R&D and quality control systems, effectively integrating textile theoretical knowledge acquired in class with real industrial practices and physical products.
Afterwards, the students proceeded to the enterprise’s production workshops for on-site observation. Inside the workshops, they closely watched the operation processes of intelligent textile and garment manufacturing equipment, experienced the efficient operation mode of digital production lines firsthand, and gained an in-depth understanding of the full workflows of standardized operations, intelligent management and control, and eco-friendly production in a modern textile and apparel factory. They truly witnessed the industrial transformation brought by the digital upgrading of the traditional textile sector, further broadened their industry horizons and clarified the practical orientation of their professional studies.
